Salvium (SAL)

16/04/2026

Salvium (SAL) is a privacy-focused proof-of-work cryptocurrency forked from Monero. It uses the RandomX algorithm and is mined on CPUs. Salvium extends Monero's privacy stack with programmable privacy and regulatory compliance features designed for the EU's MiCA framework.

Privacy features

Salvium inherits Monero's core privacy primitives:

  • Stealth addresses — hide recipient identity
  • Ring signatures — obscure the sender among decoys
  • RingCT — hide transaction amounts

On top, Salvium adds programmable privacy — developers can build apps with customizable privacy levels, and users can selectively disclose transaction information via view keys when regulatory compliance requires it.

Staking

Salvium supports native staking at the protocol level. Stakers currently earn 20% of block rewards, with the remaining 80% going to miners. After the DeFi module launches, staker rewards will come from system fees.
