How to Register a Quai (QUAI) Wallet in Pelagus Wallet

The wallet extension supports Chrome, Firefox, and Opera browsers. Below is a step-by-step guide for Opera.

1. Visit the Pelagus Wallet website at https://pelaguswallet.io/

2. Click on "Download".

   

3. The browser extension installation page will open. Click "Add to …" and confirm the installation in your browser.

   

4. Once the installation is complete, the wallet page will open automatically. If it doesn't, click the wallet icon in the browser window's top-right corner in the extensions menu.

5. In the wallet window, click "Create new wallet."

   

6. Set a strong password to access your wallet, confirm it, and click "Anchors away!" to create the wallet. Make sure to securely save your password. Losing it means losing access to your wallet.

   

7. Click "Create recovery phrase" to generate a secret recovery phrase.

   

8. You will receive a 24-word recovery phrase. Write it down and save it in the exact order displayed. Losing this phrase will result in losing access to your wallet. Whoever has the 24-word recovery phrase controls the wallet!

   

9. Click "Copy phrase to clipboard" to copy the recovery phrase and save it in a secure location.

12. If you have other wallets installed (e.g., MetaMask or Phantom), Pelagus Wallet may ask you to disable them to avoid potential conflicts.

    

13. Open your Pelagus wallet and ensure your account is assigned to Shard Cyprus-1. The pool can only send payouts to Cyprus-1:

    • Click on your account at the top of the wallet and check the wallet's Shard. If it says Cyprus-1, proceed to the next step to retrieve your wallet address.

    • If your account is on a different Shard, create a new account under Shard Cyprus-1. Click “+Add Quai account”, Select Shard “Cyprus-1”, Click “Confirm” to finalize. Then, click on the newly created account to set it as your primary account.

      

14. Click "Receive" in the wallet’s main menu, then click on your wallet address to copy it. Use this address for mining or receiving coins in your wallet.
