How To Mine Zcash ZEC
4/11/2025
Zcash (ZEC) is a cryptocurrency designed as a privacy-focused alternative to Bitcoin, with a strong emphasis on anonymity and security. It’s built on the zk-SNARKs protocol, which enables shielded transactions — hiding the sender, receiver, and transaction amount. Zcash doesn’t aim to replace Bitcoin, but rather offers a choice for those who value confidentiality in digital payments. The developers are actively engaged with the community, continuously supporting ecosystem growth and implementing new innovations.
Kryptex Pool supports mining Zcash ZEC using various EquiHash ASIC devices.
GPUs and CPUs, however, aren't capable of mining Zcash ZEC, as they simply lack the necessary processing power.
Kryptex Pool uses PPS+ payout scheme.
Supported miners
Kryptex Zcash ZEC Pool supports all well-known miner manufacturers:
- Bitmain Antminer Z9mini, Z9, Z11, Z15, Z15Pro
- Innosilicon A9, A9+, A9++
And this is not a complete list of all manufacturers.

To mine Zcash ZEC, you willl need a wallet address.
You can create a personal Zcash ZEC wallet using convenient multicurrency wallet TrustWallet, or get a wallet address from a cryptocurrency exchange MEXC, Binance, CoinEX, Gate.io, KuCoin.

Let's take the Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro ASIC as an example.
Access the control panel of your ASIC.
Navigate to the settings section, typically labeled "Miner Configuration" or "Settings".
Input the following settings:
- URL of the Zcash ZEC mining pool:
stratum+tcp://zec.kryptex.network:7042 - Worker: Enter the wallet address for mining and the worker name in the format
Wallet_Address.Worker_Name. The worker's name should comprise numbers and Latin letters, excluding spaces or special characters. - For instance:
t1ScU9R3YoZWPwwrm2jGSZtTpHKk9tw6ahU.Z15where:t1ScU9R3YoZWPwwrm2jGSZtTpHKk9tw6ahU— represents the Zcash ZEC wallet address.Z15is the chosen name for your worker in free form. - Ensure you use a Zcash ZEC wallet address.
- Password: This field is optional. You can either enter
xor leave it blank.
- URL of the Zcash ZEC mining pool:
If needed, replicate these settings across all three profiles. This ensures that the ASIC will reconnect to the pool and resume operations in case of a connection loss.
Save and apply the settings, then reboot the ASIC.

Monitoring Your Pool Mining Activity
Once your ASIC has stabilized, which typically takes up to 20 minutes, and you have successfully connected to the Kryptex Pool, you can check the status and profitability of your mining efforts on the pool page.
Visit the Zcash ZEC Kryptex Pool at https://pool.kryptex.com/zec.
Input your wallet address into the search field and press Enter.

View the statistics related to your ASIC on the pool.
For additional monitoring, you can also track the performance of your ASIC through our dedicated monitoring bot on Telegram: https://t.me/KryptexMonitoringBot.
